Note: With the approval of IGP Terre Abruzzesi as a regional IGP, the Italian ministry of agriculture has requested the cancellation of the other seven IGPs in Abruzzo by the EU, but a producer in this IGP has challenged the proposed cancellation so its status remains in question.

Zone of production: Entire region of Abruzzo
Grapes for Passito may be dried on or off the vine
Minimum alcohol level: 10.0% for Bianco; 10.5% for Rosato and Rosso; 11.0% for Novello; 11.0% for Passito (16.0% potential)
