Catarratto

Once the most planted Italian white variety, but now disappearing. Two biotypes: Comune (higher sugar, lower acid) and Lucido. Medium to full bodied. Aromas & flavors: Sage, thyme, banana, pineapple, citrus; somewhat bitter finish.
