  • Trebbiano (Wh): Minimum 85% Trebbiano Toscano + OANWG
  • Vermentino (Wh): Minimum 85% Vermentino + OANWG
ROSATO WINES
  • Rosato (Ro): Minimum 35% Merlot; minimum 35% Sangiovese; minimum 30% OARG
RED WINES
  • Rosso (Rd): Minimum 35% Merlot; minimum 35% Sangiovese; minimum 30% OARG
  • Cabernet Sauvignon (Rd): Minimum 85% Cabernet Sauvignon + OARG
  • Merlot (Rd): Minimum 85% Merlot + OARG
  • Sangiovese (Rd): Minimum 85% Sangiovese + OARG
  • Syrah (Rd): Minimum 85% Syrah + OARG

Significant Production Rules

  • Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Bianco and Trebbiano; 11.5% for Vermentino and Rosato; 12.5% for Rosso and red varietals; 13.0% for Superiore
  • Aging: For Superiore, minimum 18 months, including 12 months in barrel (ERD = May 1, V+2)
