Vineyard elevation: Minimum 150 m (490 ft); maximum600 m (1,970 ft)
Grapes for Vernaccia must be dried on or off the vine to achieve a minimum potential alcohol level of 17.0%
Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Bianco, Trebbiano, Riesling, and Spumante; 11.5% for Chardonnay, Grechetto, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosso, and Sangiovese; 11.5% for Vernaccia (17.0% potential); 12.0% for Grechetto di Todi, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot
Aging: For red varietals, minimum 1 year (ERD = October 31, V+1); for Riserva, minimum 2 years, including 1 year in barrel (ERD = October 31, V+2)
