  • Rosso (RdSw, RdFrSw): 25–65% Barbera; 25–65% Croatina; maximum 45% Pinot Nero, Uva Rara, and/or Vespolina

Significant Production Rules

  • Minimum alcohol level: 5.5% for Rosso tranquillo (12.0% potential); 7.0% for Rosso frizzante (12.0% potential); 9.0% for Spumante Dolce
  • Residual sugar: Minimum 80 g/l (8.0%) for Rosso
  • Aging: No minimums specified
