RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd): Minimum 50% Sangiovese; minimum 35% Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and/or Vernaccia Nera; minimum 15% OANRG
SPARKLING WINES
- Spumante (RdSp): Minimum 85% Vernaccia Nera + OANRG
Significant Production Rules
- Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Spumante; 11.5% for Rosso
- Residual sugar: Maximum 15 g/l (1.5%) for Rosso; 17–35 g/l (1.7–3.5%) for Spumante secco; minimum 50 g/l (5.0%) for Spumante dolce
- Aging: No minimums specified
