- Rosso (Rd): Minimum 70% Sangiovese (locally Prugnolo Gentile) + OAG (maximum 5% OAWG)
Significant Production Rules
- Vineyard elevation: Minimum 250 m (820 ft); maximum 600 m (1,970 ft)
- Minimum alcohol level: 11.5%
- Aging: Minimum approx. 4 months (ERD = March 1, V+1)
