WHITE WINES
  • Bianco (Wh): Minimum 60% Catarratto; maximum 40% Ansonica (locally Inzolia)
ROSATO WINES
  • Rosato (Ro): Minimum 60% Perricone; maximum 40% Nero d’Avola
  • Syrah (Rd): Minimum 85% Syrah + OARG
RED WINES
  • Rosso (Rd): Minimum 60% Perricone; maximum 40% Nero d’Avola
  • Syrah (Rd): Minimum 85% Syrah + OARG
  • Riserva (Rosso, Syrah)

Significant Production Rules

  • Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Bianco, Rosato, and Syrah Rosato; 12.0% for non-riserva Rosso and non-riserva Syrah; 12.5% for Riserva
  • Aging: For Riserva, minimum 2 years (ERD = November 1, V+2)
