WHITE WINES
- Bianco (Wh, WhFr): Any proportions of white grape varieties approved for the region of Calabria
- Varietals (Wh, WhFr): Minimum 85% Ansonica, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Greco, Guardavalle, Guarnaccia, Malvasia, Manzoni Bianco, Montonico Bianco, Moscato, Pecorello, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Trebbiano Toscano, or Welschriesling + OAWG
ROSATO WINES
- Rosato (Ro, RoFr): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Calabria
- Varietals (Ro, RoFr): Same as Rosso varietals
RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd, RdFr): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Calabria
- Varietals (Rd, RdFr): Minimum 85% Aglianico, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Castiglione, Gaglioppo, Greco Nero, Magliocco Canino, Malvasia Nera di Brindisi, Marsigliana Nera, Merlot, Nerello Cappuccio, Nerello Mascalese, Nero d’Avola (aka Calabrese), Nocera, Prunesta, or Sangiovese + OARG
- Cabernet (Rd, RdFr): Minimum 85% Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon + OARG
- Novello (Rosso, red varietals)

Significant Production Rules
- Zone of production: Communes of Curinga, Feroleto, Gizzeria, Lamezia Terme, Maida, Pianopoli, and San Pietro a Maida in the province of Catanzaro
- Spumante must be fermented in autoclaves (pressurized tanks)
- Minimum alcohol level: 10.0% for all frizzante wines; 10.5% for Bianco tranquillo and Rosato tranquillo; 10.5% potential for Passito; 11.0% for Rosso tranquillo and Novello; 12.0% for Spumante and Rosato Spumante
- Residual sugar: Spumante may range from extra brut to dry
- Aging: No minimums specified
