WHITE WINES
- Bianco (Wh, WhFr, WhSw, WhFrSw): Any proportions of white grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna
- Varietals (Wh, WhFr, WhSw, WhFrSw): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed white grape varieties except Girò, Nasco, Nuragus, or Semidano + OAWG
ROSATO WINES
- Rosato (Ro, RoFr, RoSw, RoFrSw): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna
- Varietals (Ro, RoFr, RoSw, RoFrSw): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed red grape varieties except Cannonau + OARG
RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd, RdFr, RdSw, RdFrSw): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna

Significant Production Rules
- Zone of production: Entire region of Sardegna
- Wines can name two, three, or four grape varieties (except Cannonau, Girò, Nasco, Nuragus, or Semidano) on the label, listed in descending order of percentage, provided no other varieties are included and the proportion of the major ingredient is less than 85%
- Minimum alcohol level: 9.0% for Passito (16.0% potential); 10.0% for Bianco; 10.5% for Rosato, all frizzante wines, and all spumanti; 11.0% for Rosso and Novello; 12.0% for da Uve Stramature (15.0% potential)
- Residual sugar: Disciplinare says Spumante wines can be dry to sweet, but probably means any sweetness level, from brut nature (zero dosage) to dolce
- Aging: No minimums specified
