  • Varietals (Wh): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed white grape varieties + OANWG
ROSATO WINES
  • Rosato (Ro): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the production area
  • Varietals (Ro): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed red grape varieties + OANRG
  • Novello (Rosato, rosato varietals)
RED WINES
  • Rosso (Rd): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the production area
  • Varietals (Rd): Minimum 85% any one of the allowed red grape varieties + OANRG
  • Novello (Rosso, red varietals)

Significant Production Rules

  • Zone of production: Communes of Bagnara Calabra, Palmi, Scilla, and Seminara in the province of Reggio Calabria
  • Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Bianco and Rosato; 11.5% for Rosato Novello; 12.0% for Rosso and Rosso Novello
  • Aging: No minimums specified
