Styles and Wine Composition
WHITE WINES
- Bianco (Wh, WhFr): Any proportions of Chardonnay, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano Toscano, Vernaccia, and/or Vermentino + OAG
- Varietals (Wh, WhFr): Minimum 85% Chardonnay, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano Toscano, Vernaccia, or Vermentino + OAWG
- Dual varietals (Wh, WhFr): 50–85% of first-named variety; 15–50% of other variety
ROSATO WINES
- Rosato (Ro): Any proportions of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Canaiolo Nero, Ciliegiolo, Gamay, Merlot, Pinot Nero, Sangiovese, and/or Syrah + OAG

Significant Production Rules
- Zone of production: Defined area in the provinces of Arezzo, Firenze, Pistoia, Prato, and Siena
- For Rosso, enrichment by the Governo method (refermentation of wine with dried grapes) is allowed until December 31, V
- Minimum alcohol level: 9.5% for Bianco tranquillo; 10.0% for Bianco frizzante; 10.5% for Rosato and Rosso; 11.0% for Novello
