RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd, RdSw, RdFr): Minimum 90% Freisa + OANRG
- Superiore (Rosso)
SPARKLING WINES
- Spumante (RdSp, RdSpSw): Minimum 90% Freisa + OANRG
Significant Production Rules
- Minimum vineyard elevation: 180 m (590 ft)
- Spumante is fermented in pressurized tanks or autoclaves (Charmat/Martinotti method)
- Minimum alcohol level: 6.0% for Spumante (8.0% maximum; 11.0% potential); 7.0% for Rosso dolce (11.0% potential); 11.0% for Rosso secco; 12.0% for Rosso with vineyard designation and for Superiore; 12.5% for Superiore with vineyard designation
- Residual sugar: Spumante may range from brut to dolce
- Aging: For Superiore, minimum 1 year, including 6 months in barrel (ERD = November 1, V+1)
