RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd, RdSw, RdFrSw): Minimum 85% Cesanese (Comune and/or di Affile) + OARG
- Superiore (Rosso)
- Riserva (Rosso)
Significant Production Rules
- Minimum alcohol level: 9.0% for Rosso dolce and Rosso dolce frizzante; 11.0% for Rosso amabile; 12.0% for Rosso; 12.5% for Superiore; 13.0% for Riserva
- Residual sugar: 18–30 g/l (1.8–3.0%) for Rosso amabile; 45 g/l (4.5%) for Rosso dolce and Rosso dolce frizzante
- Aging: For Superiore, minimum approx. 7 months (ERD = June 1, V+1); for Riserva, minimum 24 months, including 6 months in bottle (ERD = November 1, V+2)
