Note: Varietal wines are permitted to put the name of the variety before the denomination name, e.g., “Passerina d’Abruzzo DOC,” confusingly giving the impression of being from a different denomination altogether.

Tullum Becomes Italy’s 75th DOCG

Tullum, aka Terre Tollesi, in 2019 became the second DOCG in Abruzzo and the 75th in Italy. It features red wines made from Montepulciano and whites from Passerina and Pecorino.
