History: Established as the Ortrugo DOC in 2010; name changed in 2013 (can also be labeled Ortrugo–Colli Piacentini)
Vineyard Area: 443 ha / 1,094 acres (2021)
Production: 35,700 hl / 396,300 cases (5-year average)

WHITE WINES
- Bianco (Wh, WhFr): Minimum 90% Ortrugo + OANWG
SPARKLING WINES
- Spumante (WhSp): Minimum 90% Ortrugo + OANWG
Significant Production Rules
- Spumante may be made by Metodo Classico (second fermentation in bottles) or the Charmat method (fermented in pressurized tanks)
- Minimum alcohol level: 11.0%
- Residual sugar: Maximum 17 g/l (1.7%) for Bianco frizzante; Spumante may range from extra dry to abboccato (demisec)
- Aging: No minimums specified
