History: Established as a new DOC in 2011, replacing another Lessini Durello (later Monti Lessini) DOC from 1988

Production: 7,750 hl / 86,100 cases (5-year average)

SPARKLING WINES
  • Spumante (WhSp): Minimum 85% Durella; maximum 15% Chardonnay, Garganega, Pinot Bianco, and/or Pinot Nero

Significant Production Rules

  • Wines must undergo second fermentation in autoclaves (Martinotti/Charmat process)
  • Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Spumante; 12.0% for Riserva
  • Residual sugar: From brut nature (zero dosage) to demisec
  • Aging: No minimums specified

Note: Prior to 2024, Lessini Durello also had a metodo classico Riserva version that was aged a minimum of 3 years on the lees.
