ROSATO WINES
  • Rosato (Ro, RoFr): Any proportions of grape varieties approved for the region of Lazio
  • Varietals (Ro, RoFr): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed red grape varieties + OAG

Significant Production Rules

  • Zone of production: Entire region of Lazio
  • Grapes for Passito must be dried on or off the vine to achieve a minimum sugar level of 272 g/l (27.2%)
  • Minimum alcohol level: 9.0% for Passito (16.0% potential); 10.0% for Spumante; 10.5% for Bianco, white varietals, Rosato, and rosato varietals; 11.0% for Rosso, red varietals, and Novello; 12.0% for Vendemmia Tardiva (15.0% potential)
  • Aging: No minimums specified
