History: Approved as Pignoletto DOC in 2014 for Grechetto-based wines formerly in Colli Bolognesi DOC; name changed in 2023 (effective with 2024 harvest)

Vineyard Area: 1,331 ha / 3,288 acres (2021)

Production: 122,700 hl / 1,363,200 cases (2022)

  • Vendemmia Tardiva (WhSw): Minimum 85% Grechetto + OAWG
  • Passito (WhSw): Minimum 85% Grechetto + OAWG

  • Residual sugar: Spumante can range from natural (zero dosage) to dry
  • Aging: No minimums specified
