  • Varietals (Wh, WhFr, WhFrSw): Minimum 85% Bianco di Alessano, Bombino Bianco, Chardonnay, Falanghina, Fiano, Francavilla, Greco, Impigno, Malvasia, Manzoni Bianco, Moscatello Selvatico, Moscato, Notardomenico, Pampanuto, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Sylvaner Verde, Verdeca, Verdicchio, Vermentino, or Welschriesling + OAG
  • Dual varietals (Wh, WhFr, WhFrSw): 50–85% of first-named variety; 15–50% of other variety
ROSATO WINES

Significant Production Rules

  • Zone of production: Provinces of Brindisi, Lecce, and Taranto
  • Minimum alcohol level: 9.5% for all frizzante and spumante wines; 10.5% for Bianco tranquillo; 11.0% for Novello; 11.0% for da Uve Stramature and Passito (15.0% potential); 11.5% for Rosato tranquillo; 12.0% for Rosso tranquillo
  • Aging: No minimums specified
