- Sangiovese (Rd): Minimum 85% Sangiovese + OANRG

- Superiore can be produced only in a portion of the denomination
Significant Production Rules
- Minimum alcohol level: 11.0% for Novello; 11.5% for Rosso and Sangiovese; 12.0% for Superiore
- Aging: For Superiore, minimum approx. 1 year (ERD = November 1, V+1)
