RED WINES
  • Rosso (Rd, RdFr): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Liguria
  • Granaccia (Rd, RdFr): Minimum 85% Alicante (locally Granaccia) + OANRG
  • Novello (Rosso)
DESSERT AND SPECIALTY WINES
  • Passito (RdSw): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Liguria

Significant Production Rules

  • Zone of production: Portion of the province of Genova included in the Golfo del Tigullio, Riviera di Ponente, and Val Polcèvera DOCs
  • Minimum alcohol level: 10.0% for Bianco; 10.5% for Rosato and Rosso; 11.0% for Novello; 14.0% for Passito (16.5% potential)
  • Aging: No minimums specified
