- Rosso (Rd): Minimum 30% Barbera; minimum 20% Marzemino (locally Berzemino); minimum 10% Sangiovese; minimum 10% Schiava Gentile; maximum 10% OARG
- Riserva (Rosso)
Significant Production Rules
- Maximum vineyard elevation: 500 m (1,640 ft)
- Minimum alcohol level: 11.5% for Rosso; 12.5% for Riserva
- Aging: For Rosso, minimum approx. 7 months (ERD = June 1, V+1); for Riserva, minimum 2 years (ERD = November 1, V+2)
