SPARKLING WINES
  • Metodo Classico (WhSp): Minimum 70% Pinot Nero; maximum 30% Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and/or Pinot Grigio
  • Rosé Spumante or Rosé Crémant (RoSp): Minimum 70% Pinot Nero; maximum 30% Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and/or Pinot Grigio
  • Pinot Nero Spumante (WhSp): Minimum 85% Pinot Nero; maximum 15% Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and/or Pinot Grigio
  • Pinot Nero Rosé Spumante or Cruasé (RoSp): Minimum 85% Pinot Nero; maximum 15% Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and/or Pinot Grigio
  • Millesimato (Spumante, Rosé, Pinot Nero, Pinot Nero Rosé)

Significant Production Rules

  • All wines must undergo a second fermentation in bottles (Metodo Classico)
  • Minimum alcohol level: 11.5% for Metodo Classico and Rosé; 12.0% for Pinot Nero and Pinot Nero Rosé
  • Residual sugar: From brut nature (zero dosage) to demisec (abboccato)
  • Aging: Minimum 15 months on the lees (ERD April 1, V+2); for Millesimato, minimum 24 months on the lees (ERD January 1, V+3)

Note: Cruasé is a brand name owned by the consorzio. It can be produced by any consorzio member for Pinot Nero Rosé Spumante.
