Top Ten IGP Regions

IGPs with the largest volume production in 2015

These 10 IGPs accounted for 85% of the total volume and value of Italian IGP-level wine in 2015, as they did in 2014. However, IGP volume overall, which had dropped by more than 35% in the poor harvest of 2014, rose a meager 1%. The leader, IGP delle Venezie, moved farther ahead with an increase in production of more than 12%. IGP Salento and especially IGP Puglia had even larger growth, while IGP Emilia and IGP Provincia di Pavia had major declines.
