- Rosso (Rd): Minimum 50% Vernaccia Nera + OANRG
- Moro (Rd): Minimum 60% Montepulciano + OANRG
- Superiore (Rosso)
DESSERT AND SPECIALTY WINES
- Passito (RdSw): Minimum 50% Vernaccia Nera + OANRG
Significant Production Rules
- Maximum vineyard elevation: 500 m (1,640 ft)
- For Passito, grapes must be dried on or off the vine to achieve a minimum sugar level of 260 g/l (26.0%) and can be pressed only between December 1, V, and March 31, V+1
- Minimum alcohol level: 12.0% for Rosso; 12.5% for Moro and Superiore; 12.5% for Passito (15.5% potential)
- Aging: For Rosso and Moro, minimum 18 months (ERD = June 1, V+2); for Passito and Superiore, minimum 24 months (ERD = December 1, V+2)
