Significant Production Rules:
  • Minimum alcohol level: 8.0% for Spumante (14.5% potential); 12.0% for Bianco (14.0% potential); 13.0% for Passito (16.0% potential); 17.5% for Liquoroso (21.0% potential)
  • Residual sugar: Minimum 45 g/l (4.5%) for Passito; 50–95 g/l (5.0–9.5%) for Spumante; minimum 60 g/l (6.0%) for Liquoroso
  • Aging: For Spumante, minimum approx. 1–2 months (ERD = November 1, V); for Bianco, minimum approx. 6 months (ERD = March 1, V+1); for Passito and Liquoroso, minimum approx. 5–7 months (ERD = June 1, V+1)
