WHITE WINES
  • Bianco (Wh, WhFr): Minimum 40% Pigato and/or Vermentino + OANWG
ROSATO WINES
  • Rosato (Ro): Minimum 40% Dolcetto (locally Ormeasco) and/or Rossese + OANRG
RED WINES
  • Rosso (Rd, RdFr): Minimum 40% Dolcetto and/or Rossese + OANRG
  • Novello (Rosso)
DESSERT AND SPECIALTY WINES
  • Bianco Passito (Wh, WhSw): Minimum 40% Pigato and/or Vermentino + OANWG
  • Rosso Passito (Rd, RdSw): Minimum 40% Dolcetto and/or Rossese + OANRG

Significant Production Rules:
  • Zone of production: Entire province of Imperia
  • Grapes for Passito must be dried on or off the vine to achieve a minimum sugar level of 250 g/l (25.0%)
  • Minimum alcohol level: 10.5% for all wines except 11.0% for Novello and 11.5% for Passito (13.0% potential)
  • Aging: For Passito, minimum approx. 1 year (ERD = December 1, V+1)
