Significant Production Rules

  • Zone of production: Entire province of Bari and the communes of Andria, Barletta, Bisceglie, Canosa di Puglia, Minervino Murge, and Trani in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani
  • Minimum alcohol level: 9.5% for all frizzante and spumante wines; 10.5% for Bianco tranquillo; 11.0% for Rosato tranquillo, Rosso tranquillo, and Novello; 11.0% for da Uve Stramature and Passito (15.0% potential)
  • Aging: No minimums specified
